During a time when we are desperately making attempts to find new places to drill for limited resources to provide petrol products to this planet, the amount of fuel we consume is is certainly a guzzling factor. The commute to work can drain away gallons of gasoline a week, even with decent mileage. Being able to fuel the things in our houses without having to drain our natural resources any further is a benefit for us all. Considering we leave many high wattage appliances in electrical sockets while at work, that still cost energy when we aren't using them. One major example being the refrigerator. With passive solar energy we are able to combat passive energy usages with passive energy gains. All they require is the sun and proper wiring to work.
